Synopsis in German
Ein Graf heiratet, um sich zu sanieren, ein reiches, angeblich häßliches Mädchen. Die Ehe ist platonisch gedacht, doch als er sie richtig kennenlernt, verliebt er sich in sie. Nun, so schnell soll er aber nicht zu seiner Frau kommen, denn sie will ihn noch bös' auf die Probe stellen. Aus diesem Scherz wird fast Ernst, bis der Onkel in seiner drolligen Ahnungslosigkeit diese platonische Ehe rettet. (Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau Stiftung)
